FEEM and FIBER will hold a series of online workshops to listen and to learn from people working and living in the Ravenna area and Metaponto area. Participants of the workshops will support the development of a symposium that will occur on June 19 in Matera.
The workshops have the main aim to understand present fragilities, in particular the socio-hydro-ecological instability of the selected reclaimed areas, gathering the information from regional agencies, local authorities and local groups and associations. The workshops’ discussion will lead to insights and recommendations on how to plan the symposium in order to facilitate a focused knowledge transfer. The symposium will share the best practices of flooding mitigation/adaptation and productive landscape design in environmentally at-risk territories from US case studies according to the workshops’ directions. All the activities will be in Italian with translation from and to English when necessary. Close captions in English and Italian will be embedded in the virtual workshops platform and provided during the symposium day event.
